Solid mindi: Elegance, Style and Durability

As specialists in premium, artisanally crafted solid wood furniture, we take pride in offering pieces of the highest quality. The woods we select preserve the tree's natural beauty and character. Each type of wood offers unique and distinctive qualities.

The mindi we use comes from Indonesian plantations. Also known as Chinaberry or white cedar wood, and sometimes spelled mindy, this exotic wood is less well-known than teak or mahogany. However, it is a robust tree whose light-colored wood is used to create beautiful designer furniture. Easy to work with, mindi has gained an important place in cabinetmaking, producing furniture that is both authentic and robust. While its overall color is light, mindi can sometimes exhibit warm reddish tones, particularly in the heartwood, adding depth to its aesthetic appeal.

A light color, a straight grain and bright reflections: mindi is easily polished for a gleaming result. Its smooth, knot-free fibers display a subtle graining, adding to its refined look. Its pale colors, ranging from sand to dark blond, make it a suitable choice for many decorative styles.

While slightly less resistant than oak, teak, or acacia, mindi furniture still stands out for its longevity and its ability to withstand daily use. Naturally rich in oil, mindi wood resists shrinkage and distortion during cabinet making.
