The wood comes from China, as customer service informed me. The website advertises that the wood comes from the EU, which is quite misleading. The side table is truly beautiful, even though it arrived with a small scratch.

A very pretty and original little piece of furniture, and despite its small size, very practical. I placed it in an entryway. The finish is perfect and the wood is high quality.
Small piece of quality furniture
Nice, stable piece of furniture, just the right size to fit the space on either side of my new bed. However, it was damaged almost immediately when I left a cup on top of it, which left a ring. There is no protective lacquer. I wish I had gotten the teak version instead, as it may have been more durable. But otherwise, I'm very happy with it.
